Really beautiful book, bought off the back of my son having loved the King Arthur book by the same author I also purchased the Greek Myths book at the same time and have to say that the Romans book is a bit advanced in terms of topics and suited to a slightly older reader of 7 or 8, whereas the Greek Myths could be enjoyed by a much younger reader of say 5 as they are of a short story format.

trying too hard to be cute and folksywe would have preferred just the facts, ma ambut ok, suitable for ages 7 14, or so..if the kids are interested, there are other, solid sources to use, but this is a reasonable introduction and may inspire deeper reading.

This is a comic strip style book I wanted my children 4 6 to have a fun way of accessing Roman history The illustrations drawings are nicely done but there is not much substance to the book and there aren t really any stories Each cartoon strip has a few short lines, so bed time story is over in about 1 minute A bit disappointing.I was hoping for a halfway house between the Usborne mythology books which are a little bit too long and do not have enough pictures and this which is all pictures and very little text.
