Rate 5 5 StarsContinuity Season 3Main Characters Buffy, Xander, Cordelia, Willow, Oz, GilesReview I absolutely loved this omnibus The first 3 of the series were a lot less Buffy ish and feels very unfamiliar to the tv show However, they were still awesome to read because it is cool to see different approaches But if you are not open to seeing different takes on our beloved vampire slayer, then this is the omnibus to start.Christopher Golden is really the secret weapon in this omnibus He writes Buffy as if he s been on the tv writing staff the entire run The Hollower was an amazing story and captured Angel and Buffy s character and story so well, something I feel some other Buffy comics fail to do at times He also did this great in his story, Stinger also in this omnibus.Andi Watson s Bad Blood was also a great highlight from this story I loved the idea of a clone Buffy and the entire story was so entertaining Selke was a badass villain too.Who Made Who was also a fun read, because it was a story about Giles I loved how it was presented because Giles is usually so under represented and he has SO many adventures It was about time we got to see one of them.I also appreciated that they included the story Graduation Day I love when I can read the comics as if they stand alone and this omnibus did it for me It filled me in on important info about the show so if one day all my DVDs scratch and my netflix crashes or somehow I forgot some vital Buffy info, the omnibus series can help me remember Angel leaving again was such a big and concluding element of season 3 and that same exact moment is present in the last story of this omnibus A fitting conclusion to their season 3 story run.Love it Must buy who can resist evil clone Buffy in that little blue dress So much fun to catch up with a comic I lost pace with over a decade ago. I purchased this omnibus along with the other volumes Within an hour of beginning reading, the binding had broken and pages began to separate and fall out of the book As the pages do not have numbers on them, it would be extremely difficult to reassemble the book if they get out of order, so I requested a replacement from.I received my replacement copy a day or two later, and within 20 minutes of reading the exact same thing happened I ve read through the first five volumes and have not experienced this problem with any of the other volumes. As to the actual content of the book, it s just okay If not for the extremely poor quality of the book, I d probably rate this 3 stars. The short stories aren t bad, but seeing as Bad Blood dominates this volume I m basing my review on that story The artwork is not very good in this volume, compared to volumes 1 and 2 It isn t necessarily bad, but the artists don t capture the likenesses of any of the actors Further, the artwork looks rushed Most panels in Omnibus 1 and 2 seem like paintings most of the work in this volume are nowhere near the same quality. As for as Watson s story, it s full of things that make no sense either that or quotes that seem to only be there to take up place Sometimes though the story is interesting, but it took a long time to get through for me Perhaps Watson isn t a bad writer, but he certainly doesn t have the knack for all things Buffy. Volume 4 of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer omnibus series concludes Buffy s high school career, wrapping up Season 3 of the show s story line Collected in this volume are the complete Bad Blood saga written by Andi Watson Clubbing , the first attempt at making a season of the comics, where Buffy battles a sultry vampire who hungers for a lotthan blood the first comics work by Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series writer Doug Petrie, and critically acclaimed artists Eric Powell The Goon , Ryan Sook Star Wars Rebellion , and Cliff Richards Buffy Season 8 , whose stories follow the Scoobies through their final year at Sunnydale High and the first Angel miniseries, The Hollower, written by acclaimed Buffy novelist Christopher Golden Balti or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire The Buffy omnibus books collect the earliest Buffy comics and are an excellent precursor to Joss Whedon s Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 series This volume collects Buffy issues 9 11, 13 15, and 17 20, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Bad Dog, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Spike and Dru Who Made Who, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Angel The Hollower.
