Angel: The End This is the end, beautiful friend After years of fighting to protect his friends and the citizens of Los Angeles from the demonic hordes which populate this and other dimensions, Angel must say goodbye Elaborate plans and selfless acts have come and gone, and now IDW presents the hardcover collection of Angel s final three volumes Immortality for Dummies, The Crown Prince Syndrom, and The Worf, The Ram, and The Heart into one glorious collection, including the never before collectedAngel Yearbook First, the easy part What s in the book It features Immortality For Dummies, The Crown Prince Syndrome, and The Wolf, The Ram, and The Heart hardcovers put into one book In addition to those three main stories, it also features the back up story Eddie Hope, which was included in the Immortality For Dummies hardcover Then, finally, it features the Angel Yearbook, which was an oversized one shot and the very last Angel book IDW published, and had not previously been collected in any volumes. So, how is it Bill Willingham wrote the first chunk, and plotted the next chunk And, while Willingham has built a legend on the book Fables, he s just mediocre here The final arc has a better script, but is hampered by some very cartoony looking art that just does not fit the story at all.Overall, the main story is better than Angel Aftermath, but nowhere near the level of what Brian Lynch did on the book in the After the Fall mega arc, or in Last Angel In Hell. The final part, the Angel Yearbook, is a collection of short stories by nearly everyone that was involved in the Angel franchise at IDW A few of them, like Peter David s OMG Unicorns Harmony s blog and the Brian Lynch Franco Urru who have been IDW s best team This One Time are absolutely brilliant The rest of it is solid as well.Ultimately, the Yearbook is the best part of this volume, and this is much cheaper than buying the three individual hardcovers, which don t even include the Yearbook Angel s time at IDW ended with of a whimper than a bang, but the overall run was worth it. Good buy, and service Honestly, you will not really fully enjoy this unless you watch the complete tv seriesthen read the OFFICIAL graphic novel continuation of what happens after the last episode ends.I think it is called after the fallif you did that this book with perfectly wrap everything upbut angel is not over.if you really want the full experience you should have also watched the entireBUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER at least until angel leaves for his own show..i think after season for.that series OFFICIALLY continues in graphic novel with Season 8When you finish this book angel officially rejoins the main buffy universe storylinewith Angel faith for a quick runWhen you start Angel Faith you will be side by side with Season 9 of buffyand every thing in A F affects the buffy seasonhope this helps A Christmas gift for my son so he hasn t gotten it yet It is what he asked for and the book looks great Beautiful color and binding Maybe, if I m lucky, he ll let me read it, too. This was a good closing to the Angel comics It s refreshing they stopped the series and went back to one publisher It sucks IDW couldn t make paperback versions so I finally had to settle on hardcover versions which are not how comics should be read. Good deal Not what I was expecting, but there are some nice stories here. Great stories and beautiful art, including the short stories at the end of this volume, just brilliant And heartbreaking Lots of Angel s stories are inevitably heartbreaking and bittersweet Unmissable for the fans, this edition is as huge and heavy as beautiful. The product arrived fast and well packaged As to the story inside.some sucked, some decentmixed bag
